There are plenty of places to visit in New Delhi. Popular for its art galleries, museums and archaeological sites, New Delhi offers a wide variety of sightseeing choices. 1. Qutub Minar
The Qutub Minar is open for sightseeing on all days from sunrise to sunset. The entry fee for Indians is Rs. 10 whereas for foreign tourists it is Rs. 250.entry. If you wish to do a video recording of the monument then there will be an additional charge of Rs. 25.
2. Lotus Temple
The temple has no idols, religiuos pictures and other religious symbols like all other worship places. It is the perfect place for meditation, peace and wisdom.The temple is opened from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the summer months and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the winter months. The temple can be visited on all days except on Monday’s. Entry Fee - There are no entry charges. Anybody can visit the temple.
3. India Gate
India Gate can be visited throughout the day, though the best time would be in the evening after sunset. This is the time when the place is dramatically floodlit and the nearby fountains make a lovely display of water and lights.
4. Jantar Mantar
The Delhi Jantar Mantar is open to public from 9 am to 7 pm. The entry fee to this amazing astronomical observatory is Rs 5 for Indians and Rs 100 for foreigners.
5. Birla Temple
Devotees can pay their reverence to the deities from 7 to 12 in the Morning and 2 to 9 in Evening.
